Silhouette Death Changes Course for 2024

From darkness often comes creation, and the music of DeadDreamz, aka, Silhouette Death, has often been no exception to that idea. His various creative endeavors often seem to tailor to the more horror focused, dark themes of life. In 2024, however, Silhouette Death is making music, and moves, that his long term fans haven’t seen before.

With his most recent music release being a mental orgy of insanity following the story of a serial killer, you might be surprised by what comes next. Galvanic, set to release June 18th, is a pure electronic/EDM style album, which may surprise some of the newer listeners of our dear friend Dead. If you found him through the most recent collaborative effort album loosely based on H.H. Holmes, or the film “Overnight”, which features his music and merch, this is going to be a new experience. You may have become accustomed to his haunting or crazed guttural vocals, but there’s none of that in this newest realm of creativity. What you will find is an electronic beat that has a strangely captivating rave night groove.

It’s difficult to write about EDM and Galvanic is not an exception. I can’t take you on a journey track by track because this is something that amounts to more of an energy experience than something with lyrics that can be picked apart and personalized. What I can tell you is that throughout the tracks you’re able to feel the underlying energy that belies all artists in their work. The intricate fingerprint weaved through the composition that has pulled you in as a fan from the first song you heard. There is a darkness beneath the dance beats. Some intangible thing that watches curiously from the edge of light, waiting not to pounce and devour, but to invite and enrapture…. But would we have it any other way?

This isn’t the only change in course Silhouette Death has taken in the past year. After a long hiatus, he’s finally returned to live stage performances and he’s taken a first ever step by joining the ranks of artists, and management, at Solunar Records. This may seem out of the blue, but having had a long running connection with a co-founder of the label, a track on “Overnight”, a recent movie released through Solunar, and the core values of the company itself, this pairing seems a better fit than other opportunities he’s passed on in previous years.

Growth and change are something fans may find difficult to deal with in an artist, but it’s a sign of a musician that endures. In this past year alone Silhouette Death has shown that he’s taking the path of endurance. Galvanic is both a return to his roots and growing in new ways… and folks, I’m here for it. Be sure you are too by keeping an eye on the Silhouette Death pages for the June 18th release through Solunar Records
