News & OpinionSilent Night, Metal Night – Christmas Music

I’m all about playing new & classic Christmas music every year at Christmas time in my house, on my phone and in my car.   I grew up listening to my parents play old time musicians like Bing Crosby and Andy Williams singing songs like ‘Frosty the Snowman’, ‘Silent Night’ and ‘Winter Wonderland’.

Every year I try to find something new to listen to as you know I love exploring the world of new music.  Last year I discovered Pentatonix’s Christmas album which for those of you that don’t know, are an a capella group.

Well this year things took just a “little” different swing than last year.  In the spirit of my first year of writing for First Angel Media, I decided to find some Christmas music performed by typical rock or metal artists.  Hearing a band like Korn performing ‘Jingle Bells’ is definitely a change from Bing Crosby‘s version.   But if you are a metal fan and need to get that fix in for the holidays, it may be right down your alley.  Bandcamp has extended their fee free Friday’s through the first part of 2021 so that may be the place to grab some new music.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.   And if you need a little metal to rock in your Christmas, check out my ‘Silent Night, Metal Night’ Spotify playlist.
