So, if your buddy said to you, “We’re gonna hold an event where we post a public set list of songs and open it up to all musicians and let them randomly jump on stage and take the place of a member of the band.” You’d probably say he’s totally nuts and wish him luck on that madness! Well I said that to my guys and they said “Well alrighty then, let’s go!!!!” So that’s exactly what we did today. 22. Yes that’s right, 22 musicians got together today and in a controlled madness kind of way pulled together and played roughly 35 songs in a revolving door type of atmosphere over a couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon and it was AWESOME!!!!!
Thank you to my boys in Flashback for indulging my insanity. Matt Ferrante and Summre Ferrante for trusting us to represent the Rock for Life name and cause. Thanks to Freddie Hoss Griest for lighting us up so we can see what we’re doing and making us look cool. Becky Dittman for helping us pull it together, and all of the musicians that came out and jammed with us. You guys RULE!!!

The Rock For Life Concert Series is a non profit organization in Western Pennsylvania that holds numerous charity concerts throughout the year to raise money for children and their families who are suffering from illness. The recipient this year is a 6 year old girl named Zoe and she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
July 2019 was the annual concert ‘The Gigaroo’ and unfortunately it got cancelled halfway through due to a power outage during a thunder storm. One of the bands that was scheduled to perform that night decided to band together (pun intended) and hold an event to try to recoup some of the losses.
Chris Dittman of Flashback and his wife Becky organized this event at Jergel’s and it was a great success! The love and support that the Rock for Life family has is unbelievable and you can definitely feel the love in the room when you are in their presence.
I’ve been welcomed into this family with open arms and they would do anything for me and I am honored to be part of such a great and powerful force. If you ever get a chance to go to a Rock for Life show, do yourself a favor and go! You just might make some new friends too.
