For those who seek music on a different level, I’m An Alien arrives with a new album “The Year of the Glitch”. Comprised of two members, the mysterious Gigtus who is lead vocalist and guitarist, and Brandon Dotson on bass and drums. With their spacey rock sound, as the name almost suggests, you would think this was something produced by aliens. It is something we didn’t know we even needed until it happened, and the album couldn’t have come at a better time.

“The Year of a Glitch” is about a man, a man like all of us. who is at odds with the world around. So he seeks to tear down the ruse he sees before him and reveal the truth of what he sees. Songs such as “Glitch” and “So You Want An Apocalypse” speak to that aspect directly. You also have the awesome track “Malfunction” that features Mindy Jackson from Dying Oath, which I recommend checking them out as well.

Gigtus’s floaty crooning voice guides you through your journey through 12 tracks, backed with slapping bass, and talented guitar work. It would be hard to choose which track is exactly my favorite, but if I had to choose one, it would be “Seedless Gardens”.

“Year of the Glitch” arrives on our planet today, and being that it is Bandcamp Day, you can take full advantage by purchasing the album via their official Bandcamp. It will also be available on digital platforms as well. I will say it is very worth checking out, especially if you are looking for something different than what you normally hear.
