What I love the most about the MUSE feature is that I get to introduce people to bands I recently discovered. Here is a discovery known as Chaoseum. They are a Swiss metalcore act, and I was drawn to them due to their appearance. The lead singer reminds me of a cross between The Crow and The Joker, and the rest of the band have a bit of horror movie kind of vibe. Their music is something magical which puts the icing on this evil little cake.
Let’s discuss their latest video for the single “My Wonderland”. They come out swinging on this one with a barrage of guitars with intense drums in the background. The lead singer has a range that transitions between growls to soothing crooning when it comes to the chorus. This one got me headbanging with the horns held high all the way to the end. I loved the production behind this, and you can understand the story this is telling you. More or less, the theme is about chasing that little slice of heaven, that happy place where you can just escape reality for a bit. The video shows the band performing the song in a church of all places. This is the song that helped me get even more hooked on the band, and I think most of you will enjoy it. Maybe even become hooked as well. If I helped introduce a new band for you to enjoy, then I did my job.
