Today we have Awake At Last with their single “The Other Side”.
The song starts by bathing you electronica bliss, going nice, gentle, almost serene in a way. Then the guitars explode in the chorus. The vocal range is really good in this one transitioning from quiet to energetic shouting. The lyrics of the song get deep and delves into the subject matter of losing someone and wondering if you will see them again. Whether if it’s due to death or any other circumstances, it is not an easy task to accept you may never see that person again. Very relatable subject matter and story being told here. The video itself displays the band as they perform the music. I love the futuristic tone of the music and how it went from quiet to loud. It is pretty much in line with modern rock songs you hear, and it is pretty enjoyable.
