September is starting off strong with a various array of events for Labor Day weekend, so let’s take a look at the variety of happenings going down.
Grab yourself a turkey leg, and go back in time for the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival which will be opening its gates this weekend starting on Saturday September 4th until Labor Day September 6th. The festivities start at 10:30 am, and you can purchase tickets, as well as find out more information at the official website.
For fans of Supernatural, Momento Con will be taking place at the David L Lawrence Convention center. Featuring celebrity guests, Q and A panels, and over 150 vendors and artists, this looks to be huge. Plus it is hosted and moderated by Clare Kramer which you may know from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. You can find out more information as well as purchase tickets from the official website. It will be taking place Saturday September 4th and Sunday September 5th, starting at 10am.
The last big event will be A Concert for Anna 2021, taking place at JB’s Roadside and Grill. Three days of various bands performing, which you take a look at the event page to see who all will be showing up. It starts on Friday September 3rd and goes until Sunday September 5th. It is $10 per night, or you can attend all three nights for only $25. It is all for a good cause, so come out and have yourself a rocking time.
On Friday September 3rd, STRANGEWAYS will be holding a Vinyl Pop-Up Dance Party at the Allegheny Overlook Pop-Up Park. The event starts at 5pm, and in between dancing and record shopping, you can also enjoy tasty treats and frosty beverages. The party is free to attend and staff will be selling $5 wristbands for said frosty beverages which the proceeds will go to raise funds for Animal Friends.
In addition on Friday September 3rd, the Lady Beast EP Release Show will be going down at Belvederes Ultra Dive Bar. It will feature support from Limousine Beach, SWEAT, and Vicious Blade. The antics star at 8pm, and it is free to attend, so if you are looking to hear new stuff from Lady Beast, this is your time to do so.
Saturday September 4th, Title Town will be hitting Spirit Bar. The dance party starts at 9pm, and early arrival is recommended. Admission is $7 before 10pm, and $10 after, so bring your dancing shoes and get your groove on.
Sunday September 5th, Heavy Metal Parking Lot Market will be taking place once again at Black Forge Coffee House in McKees Rocks. It all starts at 11am, and will feature a variety of rock n roll vendors inside and outdoors. It is free admission and you can check out the event page for the list of vendors who will be be attendance.
Also on Sunday September 5th, Wet Ass Party 2: Stay Soaked will be taking place at a brand new pool venue. Once again featuring a variety of EDM artists who will keep you moving as you enjoy a nice dip in the pool or soaking up some rays. The party starts at 12pm, and admission is $30.
