Summer has arrived and it is bringing a full list of shows happening in the area with it. Lets take a gander as to what to expect to enjoy.
Starting us off, On Thurday June 22nd, there will be a Memorial Concert for Valerie Susani at Bridge Music Bar in Pittsburgh, PA. It will be a time to celebrate her memory with bands such as Royal Honey, Theriaca, ALBVS, and Moonshine Jasmine. It starts at 6pm and admission is $10. Also on Thursday June 22nd, it will Tommy Amoeba’s Birthday Bash at The Funhouse at Mr Smalls in Millvale, PA. He will be celebrating his day with his band Amoeba Knieval along with special guests Garage League, Love Ethic, and Water Trash. Doors open at 7pm and tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door. In addition on Thursday June 22nd, Drusky Entertainment presents The Bunny The Bear at Preserving Underground in New Kensington, PA. Joining them as support will be Seethe and Gloom Doom. Doors open at 6:30PM and tickets are $16 in advance or $18 at the door. You can purchase those from the event page for what should be a wild Thursday night.
Friday June 23rd to Sunday June 25th, The Hootenanny will be happening at Jim N I Campground in West Springfield, PA. There will be 20 regional bands to expect with Dread Metal Productions will be MCing the event. Tickets are $15 in advance which you can get those from any of the local bands or it will be $20 day of. To see a full list of bands performing, see the event page. It’s going be a rambunctious day full of great talented performers, so don’t miss out.
On Friday June 23rd, 717 Entertainment brings a killer show at Tourist Inn in Hallam, PA. The bands you can expect to see will be The Lonely Ones, The Other LA, Rise Among Rivals, and Trading the Inside. Doors open at 7pm and tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. Also on Friday June 23rd, Blacklist Entertainment is hosting another edition of Obscure at Cattivo in Lawrenceville, PA. It will be happening in the downstairs area and will feature a cast of live performers as well as guest DJs Krass Advert and Needle Mother spinning tunes for you to dance to. You never know what to expect to happen here. It will start at 9pm and admission is $10.
In addition on Friday June 23rd, STRANGEWAYS is presenting =3AM ETERNAL= 90s Eurotrash Dance Party at Mixtape in Pittsburgh, PA. A night exclusively dedicated to the underground pop hits of the 90s for you to sweat and dance to. It will start at 9pm and tickets are $5 in advance or $7 at the door. On Saturday June 24th, come in for a loud and raucuous night at Green Beacon Gallery in Pittsburgh, PA. It will have RAZORBLADE, Weaponized Existence, and Mime Etiquette. Doors open at 6pm and admission is $15.
Also on Saturday June 24th, Summer Slams will be going down at Dive Bar and Grille in Glenshaw, PA. It will be a night of heavy hardcore brutality presented by Ironside, Threaded, and Hostile Front. It will start at 7:3pm and admission is $5.
In addition on Saturday June 24th, Victoria Fire, Shattered, GUIDES, and Sarah Halter are playing at Bridge Music Bar in Pittsburgh, PA. Doors open at 8pm and admission is $10.
Then on Saturday June 24th, STRANGEWAYS presents =Night Fever= Vintage Disco Party at Belvedere’s Ultra Dive in Lawrenceville, PA. It will be hot night of the golden hits from the disco era dancing with friends or making new ones. The jams start at 9pm and admission is $7 before 10pm, $10 after.
On Sunday June 25th, Frame Fest 2023 will be happening at The BackAlley in Butler, PA, It is the 3rd annual fest hosted by Desolence and will also feature performances by Shadow of Corvus, Bombcat, Anxiety at Best, and more. Doors open at 1pm, and admission is $10. If you are looking for a fun filled Sunday, this is your spot.
