Father’s day about to get litty in Pittsburgh, let’s see where you catch the dad vibes at this weekend!

Starting us off, on Friday June 16th, 717 Entertainment is bringing Modern Mimes to Lovedraft’s Brewing Co in Mechanicsburg, PA. Joining in on the fun will be 8088, The Borderline, Two Dollar Horse, and Chris Scheler. Doors open at 6pm and tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. You can purchase advance tickets here.

Also on Friday June 16th, Outer Dark Media presents an awesome metal show at Shred Shed in Pittsburgh, PA. The band tearing it up will be Vulgar Mephitis, Exsanguinated, Riparian, and Ancient Torture. Doors open at 7:30pm and admission is $10.

In addition on Friday June 16th, Negative Thirteen, Trainwrecked, Disease of the Mind, and Samara will be shredding at McGarvey’s Bar in Altoona, PA. It starts at 8pm and admission is $5. Come join and mosh to the brutal beatdowns.

Then on Friday June 16th, STRANGEWAYS will be bringing {the modern age} indie rock dance party at Mixtape in Pittburgh, PA. Come rock and dance your socks off to your favorite indie darlings! Bring friends or you can make new ones. It starts at 9pm. Tickets are $5 in advance or $7 at the door. You can acquire advance tickets here.

Saturday June 17th and Sunday June 18th. Horrid Ordeal is hitting you in the face with Horrid Fest 2023 to Sub Alpine in Turtle Creek, PA.Two full days of extreme in your face metal! On Saturday June 17th, STRANGEWAYS is hosting Inner Groove Brewing Vinyl Pop-Up Birthday Party at the Park at Railroad Park in Verona, PA. Celebrating 4 years of Inner Groove Brewing with viynl records for sale, food galore and I am sure there will be cake, and Djs spinning tunes throughout the day. Plus there will be plenty of other surprises! It starts at 11am and it is absolutely free to attend.

Also on Saturday June 17th, Phil Kessel Memorial Hot Dog Picnic is happening at Green Beacon Gallery in Greenburg, PA. Join in to honor the memory of the sports legend and enjoy tunes from God Hates Unicorns and Problem Addicts. Shout in their face how you just want a goddamn hotdog and dare them to whisper back no. Doors open at 5pm and admission is $12.

In addition on Saturday June 17th, Drown The Deep, Ghostlight Labyrinth, and Victoria Fire. Doors open at 7pm and admission is $12 in advance, $15 at the door. You can purchase advance tickets here. Come and support some good local bands!

Then on Saturday June 17th,Distortion Productions hosts their next showcase at Cattivo in Lawrenceville, PA. The band performing will be silver walks, The Russian White, and Solemn Shapes. Doors open at 8pm and tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Tickets can be purchased here.

That’s not all as on Saturday June 17th, Strange Monsters, Sachem Orenda, The Pooks, and Hot Numbers will be playing at Bridge Music Bar in Pittsburgh, PA. It starts at 9pm and no admission known but bring some cash just in case. Should be a pretty cool show to chill at.

On Sunday June 18th, Mares of Thrace will be invading the Shred Shed in Pittsburgh, PA. Joining them will be Negative Thirteen, Microwaves, and Ancient Torture. It will go down at 4pm and admission is $10.

Also on Sunday June 18th, if you really want to treat your father well, bring him down to Disco Sunday Disco: Daddy’s Day at Trace Brewing in Pittsburgh, PA. Enjoy the wide range of disco hits all in honor of all the cool and hip daddies out there. It will start at 4pm and it is free to attend as well.

In addition on Sunday June 18th, there will be a Father’s Day Fest happening at Green Beacon Gallery in Greensburg, PA. Treat your dad to the sounds of Keep Flying, The Sneaky Heat Missiles, Kid Durango, and Garage League. Doors open at 4:30pm and admission is $15.
