Got another busy weekend in June and plenty opportunities to enjoy it, let’s take a look at what to expect!
Starting on Thursday June 8th, amplifiers, ASAVA, and For Those in Question at Voodoo Brewing Company in Homestead, PA. Three cool bands, doors open at 6pm and tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. You can purchase tickets here.
Also on Thursday June 8th, Eternal Fire Promotions will be hosting a show at Shred Shed in Pittsburgh, PA. The bands will be Mother of Graves, Solshade, and Fuzznaut. From Friday June 9th to Sunday June 11th, Living Dead Weekend will be happening at Monroeville, Mall in Monroeville, PA. Since it will be at the zombie capital of the world, it will be celebrating 45 years of Dawn of the Dead. There will be wild range of celebrities from the Living Dead franchise, panels, tons of vendors, and much much more! Visit the website for more details and how to purchase tickets.
Friday June 9th and Saturday June 10th, Awenasa Entertainment is hosting SonarFest 2023 at the Sub Alpine in Turtle Creek, PA. 2 stages of bands on both days, featuring a wild range of genres. For Friday, it starts at 5pm and tickets can be purchased here for $12, and for Saturday, it starts at 2pm and tickets can be purchased here also for $12. On Friday June 9th, come for a night of jams at Bridge Music Bar in Pittsburgh, PA. The bands playing are Samuel James & The New Impulse , Bucket of Puppies, and Derrick Beattiee. It starts at 8pm and admission is $10.
Also on Friday June 9th, In Bed By Ten Dance Party makes its long waited return to Spirit in Lawrenceville, PA. A night for those early birds to get a chance to dance and not be out too late either. It starts at 6pm and admission is $10. There will be a few surprises throughout the night, so stop on in and join the fun.
In addition on Friday June 9th, STRANGEWAYS presents Soulution Funk and Soul Dance Party at Mixtape in Pittsburgh, PA. It will be a night of grooving to sounds of soul, funk, and more! It starts at 9pm, and advance tickets are $5. You can get those here.
On Saturday June 10th, Allentown Night Market Spring Edition will be taking place in Allentown, PA. There will be 4 different artisan markets full of over 100 vendors, live entertainment, DJS, plenty of food, and more. It starts at 7pm and it is free to attend. Also on Saturday June 10th, Fit For An Autopsy will be bringing their aggressive sound to Lovedraft’s Brewing Company in Mechanicsburg, PA. They will be joined by Boundaries, Great American Ghost, and Traverse the Abyss. Doors open at 6pm and tickets are $20 in advance. You can purchase those here for an night of full force in your face metal.
In addition on Saturday June 10th, Some Die Nameless will be hosting Summerslam 2023 at 222 Ormsby in Pittsburgh, PA. In no relation to WWE’s Summerslam, this will instead feature bands such as The Filthy Lowdown, Billy Batts & The Made Men, Scrooge Mandella, Plasmid, and Crisis in America. Doors open at 6:30pm and admission is $10.
Then on Saturday June 10th, Evolution returns to Cattivo in Lawrenceville, PA. Expect a night of dancing to darkwave, goth, industrial, and more! It will start at 9:30pm and admission is $6.
That’s not all as on Saturday June 10th, STRANGEWAYS will be hosting a twofer for the evening. First they will be doing a Vinyl Pop-Up at Inner Groove Brewing in Allentown, PA. There will be over a thousand records available for sale and while you shop, you can expect the usual dose of groovy hits to be playing. It will open at 7pm and of course, it is free to attend, just support the vendors and maybe find some treasures to add to the collection.
Then if you want an afterparty after, they will be have Technique alternative 80s dance party happening at Bottlerocket in Allentown, PA. This will be the perfect change to dance and vibe together either with friends. It is also a fun time, so don’t miss out. It starts at 10pm and admission this night is on the house!
