It is the last weekend of May and it will be ending with a bang with a pretty massive event list. Here is what you can expect leading up to Memorial Day!
Starting us off, on Thursday May 25th, Good Vibe Entertainment presents Ska vs Emo at Voodoo Brewing Company in Homestead, PA. The bands playing will be Fade the Silence, Cokeworks, Joker’s Republic, Bay Street, and Soulios. Doors open at 6pm and tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door. On Friday May 26th, there will be a Last Minute Show at Green Beacon Gallery in Greensburg, PA. Shuffling in will be Cloud Rat, Constant Hell, and Mime Etiquette. Doors open at 6:30PM and admission is $15. Go down and get weird with it.
Also on Friday May 26th, FUBAR, Rockstead, and CLoud9 Vibes will be visiting Sub Alpine Society in Turtle Creek, PA. Doors open at 7pm and admission is $10. If you want to just chill and vibe, this is the spot to be.
In addition on Friday May 26th, Essential Machine, God’s Green Apples, and Anti-Corn League will be rocking at Bridge Music Bar in Pittsburgh, PA. It starts at 8pm and admission is $10.
Then on Friday May 26th, Dread Metal Productions presents a trio of artists playing at Philly on the Rocks in Erie, PA. You can catch performances from Grimace, Li’Marie, and Dumpster Garden. Doors open at 8pm and admission is $5 for this nice little show.
As well, on Friday May 26th, 13occult, Mr Red, Helsinki Bus Station, and Mind Xplosion will be providing a variety show at Smiling Moose in Pittsburgh, PA. The madness starts at 9pm and admission is $12 in advance or $15 at the door.
Friday May 26th, STRANGEWAYS presents Killing Moon 80s Darkwave Dance Party at Mixtape in Pittsburgh, PA. A bit of a dark dance full of goth and synthpop hits you know and love. It starts at 9pm and tickets are available in advance for $7 or $10 at the door. You can reserve advance tickets here.
On Saturday May 27th, The Dark Parlour presents BatHaus Series: EDM Goth Mashup Daytime Party in York, PA. It will consist of DJs vendors, live performances and an appearance from The Mary Lous. It will be going down at 2pm and $3 donation is being requested to help keep future events going. Fun times shall be had!
Also on Saturday May 27th, Danvers will be hosting a release party for their new album Like We Knew What It Meant at 222 Orsmby in Pittsburgh, PA. They will be supported by One If By Land, and Human Animal. It starts at 7pm and no admission is known so bring some cash with you just in case.
In addition on Saturday May 27th, Eternal Fire Promotions brings you an extreme metal show straight from the bowel of hell to Black Forge Coffee in Mckees Rocks, PA. Prepare for an onslaught from WITHERED, Saidan, and Viserion. Doors open at 7pm and tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. You can purchase tickets here.
Then on Saturday May 27th,STRANGEWAYS will be hosting two events, one of them being Soft Girls From Another Planet at Mixtape in Pittsburgh, PA. It will be a night of female indie rock and pop hits for you to groove to. It starts at 9pm and tickets are $5 in advance or $7 at the door. You can reserve tickets for fun here.
On the other side of the city, STRANGEWAYS is bringing Night Fever Vintage Disco Party at Belvedere’s Ultra Dive in Lawrenceville, PA. It will be a hot night of gold crusted disco and funk hits for you to shake shake shake, shake your booty to. It starts going down at 9pm and admission is $7 before 10pm, $10 after.
That’s not all on Saturday May 27th, Blacklist Entertainment is bringing you yet another edition of Obscure at Cattivo in Lawrenceville, PA. There will be usual combination of live performances, vendors, as well as the variety of goth, darkwave, synthpop, industrial and more. There will be tarot card readings as well. Plan to get weird with it as this is the night to let your inner freak out within reason of course. It starts at 9pm and admission is $7.
On Sunday May 28th, there will be a punk show at 222 Ormsby in Pittsburgh, PA. Featuring Lipstick Stains, The Karens, The Filthy Lowdown, and The Wasted. It starts going down at 5:30PM and admission is $10.
Also on Sunday May 28th, Flesh Terror, Constituents, Indeyevid, and Cryptid Tears. It starts at 7pm and admission is $10. If you want some metal on Sunday, then this is the place to be.
On Memorial Day Monday May 29th, it is the final show at Black Forge Coffee in Mckees Rocks, PA. Come celebrate a great venue and send it off with a brutal metal show featuring Vomit Forth with support from Disease of the Mind, Cemented in Fear, and Street Struck. Doors open at 6:30PM and tickets are $15. You can purchase tickets here.
