This should be a fun filled weekend as it will be Earth Day and a celebration of all things green. Here is what is on tap!
Starting off, on Thursday April 20th, The In Cold Blood Tour will be stopping at Spirit in Lawrenceville, PA. It will feature Cold Choir, Blood Handsome, and Bonnie and The Mere Mortals. Doors open at 8pm, and admission is $12. If you are into electro body music and synthwave, then you wont want to miss out on this.
Also on Thursday April 20th, STRANGEWAYS brings you Paper…Scissors…Rock! Classic Rock Vinyl Party with the addition of rock/paper/scissors tournament at Mixtape in Pittsburgh, PA. Prove your mettle while rocking out to the best hits from yesteryear. There will be prizes in the offing as well. It starts at 8pm and advanced tickets are available at a special price of $4.20. Friday April 21st and April 22nd, Brutal Weekend 2023 will be taking place at Sub Alpine in Turtle Creek, PA. Two days of nothing but full on metal, blast beats, moshing, headbanging and who knows what else. Friday’s line-up will be Shattered Soul, Drown The Deep, Storms Within, Faith in Failure, Animus, and Anxiety at Best. Saturday will consist of Corpse God, Yigga Digga, Para Bellum, Unbroken Soul, Design the Curse, and Roadkill. Both days start at 6pm and admission is $15 per day or $20 for both days!
On Friday April 21st, The Antiquity and Alchemy Tour will be stopping by Black Forge Coffee in Mckees Rocks, PA featuring IATT, Wythersake, and Shadow of Corvus. Doors open at 7pm and tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. Just another offering of a metal show in Pittsburgh.
Also on Friday April 21st, Riparian, Nixil, Uzkost, and Vicious Blade will be playing at Shred Shed in Pittsburgh, PA. Doors open at 7:30PM and admission is $10. Come for some face-melting metal!
In addition on Friday April 21st, there will be a big punk rock show at a brand new stage at 222 Ormsby in Pittsburgh, PA. There will be performances from The Lagunas, Zombii, Killin’ Me, and Garage League. It starts at 7:30Pm and admission is between $5 or $10, whatever you can spare. If you need something more punk, then this is the spot to be!
Then on Friday April 21st, Dread Metal Productions brings The Post 420 Day Pre-Earth Day Gathering at Philly on the Rocks in Erie, PA. There will be performances from Li’Marie, Naughty Frog, Optimistic Apocalypse, Grimace, and Rythem Ink. Doors open ay 8pm and admission is $6. Come out and join the celebration!
And on Friday April 21st, Black Ridge and Habatat will be playing funky rock at Bridge Music Bar in Pittsburgh, PA. It starts at 9pm and admission is $10.
Friday April 21st, STRANGEWAYS presents Killing Moon 80s Darkwave Party at Mixtape in Pittsburgh, PA. Featuring synthpop, postpunk,gothic rock and more, this will be the perfect night to break out the black eyeliner and get your spooky groove on. It starts at 9pm and advance tickets are $10. On Saturday April 22nd, Quiet Zoo is heading to Squirrel Hill Sports Bar in Pittsburgh, PA. They will have support from HoreHound, The Long Hunt, and Mother Elizabeth Thorne. Doors open at 7pm and admission is $10. A pretty stacked Saturday show!
Also on Saturday April 22nd, its PARTY TIME at 222 Ormsby in Pittsburgh, PA. Get ready to celebrate with Inco Fido, Uncle Muscle, and The Danzas. Doors open at 7:30PM and admission is $10.
In addition on Saturday April 22nd, Skeletonized will be stopping at Green Beacon Gallery in Greensburg, PA. Supporting them will be Echo Lightwave Unspeakable, RJ Myato, Slacking, and Not My Farm. Then on Saturday April 22nd, there will be a metal show at Bridge Music Bar in Pittsburgh, PA. The bands looking to melt some faces will be Adrift on River Styx, Dead Cassette, Scarred Like Us, and Everyone Hates Everything. Doors open at 8pm and tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. And on Saturday April 22nd, Beware the Beasts In The Woods at Black Forge Coffee in Mckees Rocks, PA. Only Flesh will be bringing you folk tales with flesh suspension performances included as well. It starts at 8pm, and admission is $10. You never know what to expect so come to see wonders!
Saturday April 22nd, Mayhem Music Promotions presents Earth Day metal celebration at Philly on Rocks in Erie, PA. The bands playing will be Eden on Fire, The Hallow Society, and Tempus. Doors open at 8pm and admission is $5. Come for a pretty hot and heavy show!
Saturday April 22nd, STRANGEWAYS brings you {the modern age]indie rock dance party at Mixtape in Pittsburgh, PA. Come dance to your favorite indie rock bangers with fellow people, bring some friends or make some new ones. It starts at 9pm and admission is $10.
