This weekend will yet again be a busy one with some album release tours as well as other things that will be the perfect opportunity to get out and celebrate. Let’s check out what we can expect for the weekend.
Starting us off, on Friday March 10th, there will be “All Light Will End” Album Release Show at Preserving Record Shop in New Kensington, PA. It will feature Gravebirth who will be debuting and playing all the song from their new album All Light Will End in its entirety. Supporting them will be Chamber, Backbiter, Place Blame, Windchimes, Path of the Flood, Assault on 5th, and No Cure. Doors open at 6pm, and admission is $16.
Also on Friday March 10th, it will be a mixed variety show at Green Beacon Gallery in Greenburg, PA. The artists can expect will be Lokye, Essential Machine, Jim Hart and the Blood Brothers, and much more. Doors open at 7pm, and admission is $15 or pay what you can. This should be a good show so come out!
In addition on Friday March 10th, Awake At Last will be hosting Black Forge Coffee in McKees Rock, PA for stop during their tour for the newest album The Balance. Supporting them will be Versus Me and IRE. Doors open at 6:30PM and tickets are $15. You can purchase tickets here if you want to come out and support!
Then on Friday March 10th, it will be the Night of 1000 Siouxsies at Cattivo in Lawrenceville, PA. It will be a dance night all about Siouxsie Sioux and DJ Erica Scary and DJ Callisto will be playing all the loved and some rare cuts from her very expansive catalog. There will also be Siouxsie-inspired drag performances throughout the night as well. It starts at 8pm and tickets are $15. You can purchase those here.
Following that on Friday March 10th, STRANGEWAYS will be hosting Paper…Scissors…Rock Classic Rock Party and Rock/Paper/Scissors Tournament at Mixtape in Pittsburgh, PA. Groove with the classic rock hits, and prepare to test your might to see if you can win the tournament and become the ultimate rock/paper/scissors champion. It starts at 9pm and tickets are $10. On Saturday March 11th, Strike True presents Corpse God will be debuting at Green Beacon Gallery in Greensburg, PA. Helping to add to what looks to be a chaotic night Bloody Run, Speaking in Tongues, 72 Legions, and Rituals of Insanity plan to assist to make the night heavy and loud. Doors open at 5:30PM, and admission is $15.
Also on Saturday March 11th, Some Die Nameless and Pittsburgh Ska will be hosting a show at 222 Ormsby Ave in Pittsburgh, PA. It will comprise of Soulios, FUBAR, The Book Club, and Pop Baby. It kicks off at 7pm, and no admission listed but bring money just in case.
In addition on Saturday March 11th, Howling Giant, Horseburner, Limousine Beach, and Sunshine Spazz will be playing at Squirrel Hill Sports Bar in Pittsburgh, PA. It will start at 7:30PM and admission is $15. Come on out to see what everyone is all about.
Then on Saturday March 11th, the cool cats at STRANGEWAYS are keeping busy with another dance night called Discotech an 80s Electro-Funk Dance Party at Mixtape in Pittsburgh, PA. It will feature retro dance tracks from the 80s that were designed to make the booty shake. Lots and lot of booty shaking will be on hand this night. The party starts at 9pm, and tickets are $10. Following that on Saturday March 11th, Evolution is returning for their monthly goth dance night at Cattivo in Lawrenceville, PA.It will be a night for those with peculiar tastes and will be featuring the best coldwave, darkwave, goth, industrial, new wave, synthpop, and more. It starts at 9:30PM and admission is $6.
On Monday March 13th, Tule Vera, Dr Clock and the Phantom Tones, Lylyth, and Moontown will be at Black Forge Coffee in McKees Rocks, PA. Doors open at 6:30PM and tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door. You can purchase advance tickets here. Should be a fun show to ease the tension of the long Monday.
