If you are looking to shake off the post Valentine’s Day blues, this weekend has much to offer to help bring some joy in your life.
Starting on Thursday February 16th, the Froginator Tour II will be making their dwelling at Black Forge Coffee in McKees Rocks, PA. You can expect Frog Mallet, Bonginator, and Scab Hag. Prepare for it to get very swampy. Doors open at 6:30PM, and tickets are $10. You can purchase tickets here.
On Friday February 17th, All Out War, Eternal Sleep, NO GOOD DEED, and Pain Clinic will be descending down Preserving Underground in New Kensington, PA> It’s going to go hard and get brutal. Doors open at 6pm and tickets are $20. You can purchase tickets here.
Also on Friday February 17th, Some Die Nameless presents a ska and punk extravaganza at 222 Ormsby in Pittsburgh, PA. Bringing some slamming tunes will be Public Serpents who are fresh off their record signing with SBAM RECORDS, Cultivator, The Scratch N’ Sniffs, and Crisis in America. Doors open at 630PM, and no admission known at this time, some bring some cash with you.
In addition, on Friday February 17th, it will be a night of experimental and noise at Green Beacon Gallery in Greensburg, PA. Invading your earholes will be County Conservation District, Luke Ferdinand, Veruse, and The Revolutionary Jazz Suicide Band. Doors open at 7pm, and admission is $8 or pay what you can.
Then on Friday February 17th, The Cheats, Royal Honey, and The Molecule Party will be at The Smiling Moose in Pittsburgh, PA. Doors open at 8pm, and no admission is known so bring some money with you just in case.
On Saturday February 18th, Prevailer Entertainment hosts St Valentine’s Day Massacre at Town Hall in Sykesville, PA. Share in the misery of love with Humanity Decayed, Easy Tiger, Another Dark Fall, Disease of the Mind, and fuzzi. The doors open at 5pm, and admission is $10.
Also on Saturday February 18th, Strike True presents Backbiter, Place Blame, The Karens, and Demon by Design at Green Beacon Gallery in Greensburg, PA. It will be a ruckus in the making. Doors open at 6pm, and admission is $10.
In addition on Saturday February 18th, there will be 5 bands at Loose Moose Saloon in Pittsburgh, PA. You will hear the stylings of Prime 8, The Biscuits, Rituals of Insanity, False Positive, and The Pooks. It starts at 8pm, and admission is $5.
Then on Saturday February 18th, Seethe presents The Heartbreak Hotel at Double Dealing Cafe in Ellsworth, PA. It will feature performances from Tyfy, Dematus, JJ Hollow, Gouly Blacc, HeartAttack Kid, and Bino Black. It starts at 9pm, and no admission listed. They will be taking donations of canned goods and non perishable items which will go to the Holy Redeemer Food Pantry. Come and support some good local artists.
That’s not all as Blacklist Entertainment is bringing back Obscure to Cattivo in Lawrenceville, PA. This event will be about bizzare acts, live performances, vendors, and many more things to itch that scratch you had for weirdness. Guest DJs for this one is DJ Krass Advert and DJ Needlemother who will be playing a mix of goth, industrial, and everything in between. The freakiness starts at 9:30pm, and admission is $6.
