The last weekend of August and it is going to help end the month with a bang! A variety of awesome things to look forward to just as the kiddos are going back to school, so lets get right to it!

On Thursday August 25th, do you still believe? If you watched The Lost Boys, then you are very familiar with the sexy sax man Tim Cappello. He will be bringing his performance to the Brillobox in Pittsburgh, PA, and there will be support from Big Blitz. An entire evening of pure hot saxophone action. Doors open at 8pm, and admission is $10.

On Friday August 26th, there will be Steel City Decimation at the Green Beacon Gallery in Greensburg, PA. There will be brutality from the likes of Shadow of Corvus, Feast on the Fallen, Contemptment, Gravebirth, and Hurtpiece. It will be an extreme night with no survivors. Doors open at 6pm, and admission is $10.

Also on Friday August 26th, Dread Metal Productions hosts Beach Bums Summer Run Tour at Philly on the Rocks in Erie, PA. The bands features will be Dead Cassette, Place Blame, SHIVER, Fastfall, Psycho Hosebeast, and headlining will be Somewhere To Call Home. A variety of hardcore and metalcore for the evening to throw down to. Doors open at 7pm, and tickets are $10. You can purchase those here.

Then, on Friday August 26th, Diamond Life returns to Spirit bar in Lawrenceville, PA. A night of partying and dancing to your favorite tunes with your friends. Put on your best dress or pants, get there at 9pm, and admission is $7.

In addition, on Friday August 26th, PBR Doug presents a punk show at 222 Ormsby in Pittsburgh, PA. You will hear from bands such as Voice of Addiction, Middle Finger, and The Skratchtrax. Doors open at 7pm, and admission is $10.

On Saturday August 27th, there will be a live music event at Helltown Taproom in Mt Pleasant, PA. Icarus Witch will be making their debut there, and there will be support from Lost Psychonaut. It starts at 6pm, and it is free to attend, so if you are in the area, come out prepared to rock!

Also on Saturday August 27th, Music From The 412 presents their late night concert series at Southside VFW in Pittsburgh, PA. It will feature The Parishables, Anxiety at Best, and Porters. It starts at 9pm, and admission is $10. Come out and support some local bands!

Then on Saturday August 27th, there will be a duo of dance nights to partake in. The first one comes from Strangeways hosting =Night Fever= vintage disco party at Belvedere’s Ultra Dive in Lawrenceville, PA. It is actually the one year anniversary of this event, so expect it to get loud and lively. Prepare to boogie down to the greatest disco hits. The celebration begins 9pm, and admission is $7 before 10pm, $10 after.

The second dance night comes via Blacklist Entertainment as they present their one year anniversary of Synthetic called “It Can’t Rain All The Time” at Cattivo in Lawrenceville, PA. The night will be dedicated to The Crow and feature tracks from Draven’s Mixtape. Distortion Productions will be in the house with DJ Heim as the guest DJ along with DJ Impulse better known from Tragic Impulse. The beats starts dropping at 930pm, and admission is $6.

Then, on Saturday August 27th WUOF Records presents HIP HOP BURGH at Bridge Music Bar in Pittsburgh, PA. There will be performances from CPX3, Lexa Terrestrial, Europian, M.U.L.U., and T-Burk. Doors open at 7:30PM, and advance tickets are $5.98 or $10 at the door. You can purchase advance tickets via Venmo under WUOFRecords.

On Sunday August 28th, Waltzer, Erika June & The Tunes, and Murder For Girls will be playing at The Government Center in Pittsburgh, PA. The show starts at 7:30pm and tickets are $8 in advance, $10 at the door. You can purchase tickets here.

Also on Sunday August 28th, come tear down at the Sub Alpine in Turtle Creek, PA presents the Hell on Earth Tour. You will rip and tear to the brutal sounds of WOR with support from CRASH ARMY, and The Almas. Doors open at 6pm, and admission is $10.
