It is the weekend of Friday the 13th, and it is lucky 13 as there will be plenty of events to keep you occupied. Let’s take a look at what is coming down the pipe.

Friday, May 13th, come down to Hard Rock Cafe in Pittsburgh, PA to enjoy some good old rock and roll. You will hear from the likes of the Braddock Brothers, Lords of the Highway, and Low Life Drifters. Doors open at 7pm, and admission is $10.

Also on Friday May 13th, Steel City Destroyers will be coming to Porky’s Bar and Grill in Etna, Pa. They will be bringing along Sablowskis, The Burnrides, Uncle Muscle, The Daylight Society, and the One Man Band Show. Doors open at 6:30PM, and it is $10 admission.

In addition, on Friday May 13th, it will be Friday the 13th at Casey’s Bar in Pittsburgh, PA. It will be five bands slinging tunes your way, with the likes of Prime 8, Neostem, King Catfish, False Positive, and Shannon’s Plague. The show starts at 8pm, and admission is only $5.

That’s not all, Friday May 13th, Dread Metal Productions presents a night of local Erie musicians at Philly on the Rocks in Erie, PA. Spades, country artist Bubba Pierson, and acoustical artist Dirty Kurt are all on tap to provide you a night of entertainment. Doors open at 8pm, and admission is $5. Saturday May 14th, Pittsburgh Freaky Fair is Back From the Dead. It features artists and vendors of handcrafted items with horror, occult, paranormal and creepy/unusual themes. It will be taking place at the Monroeville Mall in Pittsburgh, PA and it will include live entertainment, raffles, face-painting, tarot reading and more. It starts at 11am, and advance tickets are $10 or $5 at the door. Purchasing advance tickets gets you 5 raffle tickets, $2 off admission to the Living Dead Museums, and a tote bag that is only available to the first 300 ticket holders. Also on Saturday May 14th, Black Forge Coffee House II in McKees Rocks, PA will be hosting another local showcase. This time around it will feature The Book Club, heraldsgoose, Plumbob, Yaro and the Static, and Rather Fine. A mixed musical extravanganza, doors open at 6:30pm and admission is $12.

In addition, on Saturday May 14th, The Consortium presents a goth/darkwave show at The Government Center in Pittsburgh, PA. It will feature headliner Black Rose Burning with support from The Shadow Event and Doors in the Labyrinth. Doors open at 7pm, and tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the door. That is not all as on Saturday May 14th, The Sub Alpine in Turtle Creek, PA welcomes back Guy Snowdon and the Citizens. They will have support from B.A.M, Drown The Deep, Chip & The Charge Ups, and Steve Whooler. Come down to show your support. The doors open at 7pm, and admission is $12.

On Saturday May 14th, Dread Metal Productions returns for a second night at Philly on the Rocks in Erie, PA. It will feature five bands playing different styles of metal. The bands playing are Maniacal Device, Anthropic, Brotherhood of the Jam, Shallow Teeth, and The Merrick Strain. Doors open at 7:30PM, and tickets are $10. You can purchase those in advance here.

Saturday May 14th, Blackseed Records hosts Metal Night at Remedy Restaurant and Lounge in Lawrenceville, PA. It will feature HoreHound, THUNDERCHIEF, and Aqua Dementia. There will be limited capacity, so come down as soon as you can. It starts at 8:30PM, and admission is $12, You can purchase tickets in advance here.

Saturday May 14th, STRANGEWAYS returns to Belvedere’s Ultra Dive in Lawrenceville, PA for {the modern age} indie rock party. Join in as they spin your favorite indie favorites. It starts at 9pm, and admission is $7 before 10pm, $10 after.

On Sunday, May 15th, Heavy Metal Parking Lot Market will be taking place at Black Forge Coffee House II in McKees Rock, PA. It will feature 40 vendors as well as baby goats! Totes Ma Goats! It starts at 11am, and it is free to attend, Bring your wife, bring your kids, heck even bring your dog. There will be plenty for you to spend your hard earned money on and you may even find that rare treasure you been seeking.

Also on Sunday May 15th, UA Promotions will be invading Preserving Underground in New Kensington, PA. You will get to hear’redead and Blind Equation with support from Place Blame and Kith Bah. Start your week on a high note, the show starts at 7pm and admission is $10. You can purchase advance tickets here.

If you are worried about any bad luck due to Friday the 13th, you can cast those fears aside as if you are a metal or rock fan, you will be in luck with vast selection of events for you to attend.
