It is the first weekend of May, and if you are looking for a little post Cinco De Mayo celebration, there is plenty of offering to help you in that endeavor!

Starting us off, on Thursday May 5th, Play Alone Records will be holding a show at a secret location. It will feature bands such as Secret Shame, Child of Night, and Bring Her. Erica Scary will be spinning tunes during the night, and if you wish to attend, send a DM to Play Alone Records to get the address. It starts at 8pm, and admission is $7.

On Friday May 6th, Some Die Nameless presents the return of The Jasons to Cattivo in Lawrenceville, PA. They will have support from Latecomer, JERK!, and Bottle Rat. A bit of a punk show action for you, doors open at 7pm, and tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door. You can purchase tickets here.

Also on Friday May 6th, Casey’s Bar in Pittsburgh, PA will be holding a small show. It will feature Less Than Zero and Fastfall. If you want a little high energy to whet your appetite, come down and join the party. It starts at 8pm, and it is a $5 cover.

In addition, on Friday May 6th, for you night owls Music From The 412 presents Certain Fate and Egomyth. It will be the first of two shows this weekend of the Late Night Concert series at the South Side VFW in Pittsburgh, PA. It starts at 11pm, and admission is $10.

Saturday May 7th, Some Die Nameless will be hosting the Creature Feature Birthday Bash at the Level 20 Restaurant in Bethel Park, PA. This has no affiliation whatsoever with our Creature Feature. The bands helping the celebration will be SUBMACHINE, Cumplete Basturds, The Scratch N’ Sniffs, a second appearance fromBottle Rat, Rocky Dennis Face, Navin and The Jerks, and Princess Nostalgia. A packed punk show that you do not want to miss! It starts at 6pm, and admission will be $15.

Also on Saturday May 7th, Black Forge Coffee House II in McKees Rock is hosting their next Local Showcase, which will feature The Parishables, Eye Candy, Porters, 13occult, and Maleena. A little mix of everything for your earholes, doors open at 6:30PM, and admission is $12.

In addition, Saturday May 7th, go pound for pound at the Halftime Lounge in Pittsburgh, PA. The bands playing will be Sommelier, Anti-Corn League, and I Swallow Ghosts. Come rock out, the doors open at 6:30PM, and admission is $5.

Now the weather is getting nicer, hope you had the time to dust your motorcycle off, if not the Sub Alpine in Turtle Creek, PA is hosting a Bike Night Kick Off on Saturday, May 7th. They will have entertainment from Offensive, Strangle The Witness, Altared States, Mojo Prophet, and Steve Whooler the Master Shredder. Come down, drink some beer, get heavy, and show off your wheels. It starts at 7pm, and admission is $10.

This Saturday, May 7th, it will be another Saturday featuring a duo of dance nights in good ol Lawrenceville, PA. First, we have Title Town returning to Spirit Bar for their Soul and Funk Dance Party. Get in early and stay late for an epic evening of soulful grooves and disco bangers. They start at 9pm, and admission is $7 before 10pm, $10 after.

Then Blacklist Entertainment will be hosting a special edition of Synthetic at Cattivo in Lawrenceville, PA. DJ Impulse will be the guest DJ this time around, and he will be celebrating the release of the new record from his band Tragic Impulse. He will have copies available for you to purchase, and Distortion Productions will be in the house as well vending some items as well. It all starts at 10pm, and admission is $5. If you are a fan of industrial, then you will not want to miss this event.

Saturday May 7th, we have the second offering from Music From The 412 for their late night concert series. This time around it will host NickMo and the Mamalukes. If you like a mix of rock and blues, then come on down. As usual, it will start at 11pm, and admission is $10.

Finally, Sunday May 8th, ex-Misfits frontman Michale Graves invades the Sub Alpine in Turtle Creek, PA. He will have support from local openers Para Bellum and Low Life Drifters. The doors open at 7pm, and admission is $15.
