Here we are at the last weekend of April, and it will be going out with a bang. Let’s take a look at what is all coming to help close out this month.

Starting us off, Wednesday April 27th, Brillobox in Lawrenceville has reopened its doors to the public, and will be hosting a live show for the first time in over 2 years. It will feature bands such as Microwaves, Bombici, Some Faith, and Fuzznaut. A little bit of everything to expect from experimental rock to electronica to help get you over the hump. It starts at 8pm, and admission is $10.

Thursday, April 28th, come see some one man bands at Black Forge Coffee House II in Mckees Rocks, PA. You will get to hear some tunes from the likes of Doomdrome, Doors in the Labyrinth, Echo Lightwave Unspeakable, and Squabble. Come down, sip some coffee and get to hear some of the best solo artists Pittsburgh has to offer. The show starts at 7pm, and admission is $7.

Friday April 29th, Some Die Nameless presents Halfway to Half Covered Halloween Part 3 at 222 Ormsby in Pittsburgh, PA. It will be bands playing cover songs as well as originals. You will have Murder For Girls as Hole, Kid Durango as Stone Temple Pilots, The Skratchtrax as Rancid, and King Catfish as Nirvana. The doors open at 7pm, and admission will be $10.

Also on Friday April 29th, ArtsAltoona in Altoona, PA will be hosting their first metal show. The bands playing will be Black Sun, The Heathen Parade, and Trainwrecked. Come thrash around to some good old metal. The show starts at 7pm, and admission is $5. For a $10 donation you can get your face painted and it is also BYOB.

In addition, on Friday April 29th, it will be death metal night at Casey’s Bar in Pittsburgh, PA. You will get to hear from Deceased Peace, Grampian, and Mortal Ground. It is going to get absolutely brutal! Doors open at 8pm, and admission is $5.

If you ever been to Brillobox in Lawrenceville, PA then you are most likely familiar with Second Skin. On Friday April 29th, they will be returning with their variety of everything underground and obscure. There will be plenty to celebrate the night with. It starts at 10pm, and admission is $7.

Saturday April 30th, the Sub Alpine in Turtle Creek, PA will be hosting an Active and Autustic Benefit show. The bands playing will be Bombcat, Lost in the Mutiny, Transcendence, and Trainwrecked. The show is to help benefit Band Together Pittsburgh and Autism Society. The doors open at 6pm, and it will be a $10 cover at the door.

Also on Saturday April 30th, Shallow Teeth will be coming from Buffalo, New York to join Pittsburgh heaviest bands at 222 Ormsby in Pittsburgh, PA. They will have support from Gator Shakes, Fall Off The Earth, and Cutting Ties. The show starts at 7pm, and admission is $10.

In addition, on Saturday April 30th, Prime 8 will be hosting a Fire Relief show at Tower 29 in Pittsburgh. The show will be to benefit a fellow band member who lost everything in a fire. They will be joined by Silicon Kong, Strangle The Witness, and Altared States. They start at 8pm, and admission is $5.

Saturday April 30th, it will be a duo of dance nights in Lawrenceville, PA, first up we have the cool cats at STRANGEWAYS with =Night Fever= Vintage Disco Party at Belvedere’s Ultra Dive. A retro disco night for you to get down to with your fellow dance friends, it starts up at 9pm, and admission is $7 before 10pm, $10 after.

Then on Saturday April 30th, Blacklist Entertainment will be hosting Requiem at Cattivo. They will be debuting a guest DJ this time around by the name of Krass Advert. As usual the night will be their variety of club hits and forgotten gems of the gothic flavor, and request are very encouraged. It starts at 10pm, and admission is $5.

Sunday May 1st, Heavy Metal Parking Lot Market will be returning to Black Forge Coffee House II in McKees Rocks, PA. They will be hosting over 30 different vendor inside and outside, so who knows what treasure you may find. It starts at 11 am, and admission is free.

Then after the shopping, either stick around or return back as Good Vibe Entertainment presents When Yinz Were Young taking place Sunday evening at Black Forge Coffee House II. You will get to hear bands such as On Your Nerves, Find Ethel, Main Street Detour, Jet Jag, and The Middle Room. The doors open at 6pm, and tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Also on Sunday May 1st, Pigweed will be playing a live show at Casey’s Bar in Pittsburgh, PA. They will have support from Dead Reckoning and 434. The doors open at 8pm, and admission is $10. Come on and end the weekend on a loud note.

Lastly, Monday May 2nd, come experience Metal Monday at Black Forge Coffee House II in Mckees Rocks, PA. Prepare to have your face melted by Viogression, Hate Unbound, and Trainwrecked who have been keeping themselves busy. The show starts at 7pm, and tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door.
