Another weekend jam packed with events to look forward to, so let’s get right to it!

Starting us off, Friday April 22nd and Saturday April 23rd, Brutal Weekend 2022 will be happening at Sub Alpine in Turtle Creek, PA. It will be two days of the most brutal metal bands they can offer. You can check the event details here to see the lineups for both days. Admission will be $15 each night. If you are needing intense music therapy, this two day event will be just what the doctor ordered.

On Friday April 22nd, Outer Dark Media will be hosting a show at Black Forge Coffee House II in McKees Rocks, PA. It will be metal show that features Cognitive, Hath, Replicant, Victims of Contagion, and Riparian. If you need another dose of metal, this show will offer plenty of that. Doors open at 6pm, and tickets are $15. You can purchase those directly from the event page.

Also on Friday April 22nd, Katzulhu Productions will be celebrating a release party for their latest compilation that features mashups of punk songs released between 1975-1985. The bands providing entertainment will be The Cheats, The Royal Honey, and The Richard Move. The party starts at 7pm, and admission is $20 plus you get a copy of the vinyl.

In addition, on Friday April 22nd, Dread Metal Productions brings you a hellbilly of a show to Philly At The Rocks in Erie,PA. It will be headlined by Joe Buck Yourself with support from Dredneks, Matt Texter, and Matthew Morton. The doors open at 7pm, and tickets are $10. You can purchase those here. If you want to have a country fried good time, then you won’t want to miss out on this show.

That’s not all for you metalheads, as on Friday April 22nd, Blackseed Records will be invading Cattivo in Lawrenceville, PA. The bands playing this show will be Frayle, Brimstone Coven, and Makeshift Urn. Doors open at 8pm, and admission is $10. If you like music that is witchy and occult related, then this will sate your appetite.

For you cool cats, Friday April 22nd, Diamond Life will be returning to Spirit in Lawrenceville, PA. Featuring the prime choice cuts all evening, the dancing starts at 9pm, and admission is $5.

On Saturday April 23rd, it will be Dan The Man’s Birthday Extravaganza at Meadville Market House in Meadville, PA. The Sneaky Heat Missiles and God Hates Unicorns will be helping him celebrate the evening. The show starts at 7:30PM, and they just ask for a $5 donation.

Also on Saturday April 23rd, there will be a show at Halftime Lounge in Pittsburgh, PA. It will feature Tempered, The Bleepy Things, Little Gunpowder, CRASH ARMY, and Andrew Chris. Doors open at 7:30pm, and admission is $5. Good amount of bands for a small fee!

In addition, on Saturday April 23rd, Black Forge Coffee House II in Mckee Rocks, PA invites you to join in for an evening of ritual sludge, power ambience, and apocalyptic galaxy rock. The bands playing will be Darsombra, Altar and the Bull, and Fuzznaut. Doors open at 7:30PM, and tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door. You can purchase advance tickets here.

Saturday April 23rd, return back to The Hourglass Bar in Brookville, PA with Prevailer Entertainment. They will be hosting The Wasted, Degenerates of Punk, Video Massacre, Wasted Potential and Curt Orris. It will be fun night with a bunch of bands. Doors open at 7pm, and admission is only $5.

Saturday April 23rd, No Names Music Fest will be holding a small show at Brandy’s Basement in Irwin, PA. It will be featuring The Downstrokes, Killin’ Me, Steve Hawk, and Rod Wilkins and the LOC Band. It starts at 8pm, and tickets are $10. You can purchase those here.

Saturday April 23rd, Play Alone Records will be holding a deathrock/post punk show at the Rock Room in Pittsburgh, PA. The bands on the show will be Nox Novacula, Death Instinct, and the solo version of Child of Night known as Chains of Desire. The show starts at 9pm, and admission is $7.

Guess who is back on Saturday April 23rd? Yep, it is STRANGEWAYS hosting the modern age indie rock party at Belvedere’s Ultra Dive in Lawrenceville, PA. Come one, come all, the hits will be starting at 9pm, and admission is $7 before $10, $10 after.

Lastly, on Saturday April 23rd, Music From The 412 will be hosting yet another late night concert series at South Side VFW in Pittsburgh, PA. This time around Zachary Lee’s Interstate Daydream. It will start at 11pm, and it will be a $10 cover. So if you night owls want to chill out, this will be the place to be.

That about wraps it up, and I said it would be another huge weekend. Hopefully the weather will stay nicer this time around to motivate everyone to come out and enjoy what will be happening.
