There will be a ton of things happening this weekend, so there will be a lot to choose from to help you unwind and relax during the madness of shopping as you prepare for the holidays.
To start off, Thursday December 9th,Some Die Nameless will be holding a show at Porky’s Bar and Grill in Etna, PA. It will feature bands such as Public Serpents, SUBMACHINE, The Burnrides, and CHRISSIDENTE. Doors open at 7pm, and tickets are $10. If you enjoy punk and ska, then you will want to check this out.
Starting Friday December 10 to Sunday December 12th,Steel City Con will be returning to the Monroeville Convention Center. This time it will feature celebrities such as Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor, Corey Feldman, Rob Schneider, and more. You never know what to expect, and there will lots of vendors if you are looking to find that perfect gift, so come on out and enjoy yourself.
Friday December 10th, a metal meltdown with happening at the Green Beacon Cafe in Greensburg, PA. The bands playing will be Greywalker, Narakah, Constant Hell, Riparian, Nullum, Omnideath, and Grybus. The facemelting barrage of heavy metal starts at 7pm, and admission will be pay what you can.
Also on Friday December 10th, Hot Lixx with Lily Sixx will be holding Lily Sixx’s Live Friday at the Sub Alpine in Turtle Creek, PA. It will feature bands such as Strangle The Witness, CRASH ARMY, The Snow Birds, and Curt Ziggler. The shows starts at 7pm, and admission is $12.
In addition, on Friday December 10th, Rock For Life will be holding an annual charity event at Edgewood Winery and Event Center in Spring Church, PA. The bands playing are Doug Carahan, Half Wheel, and A Common Crown. It kicks off at 7pm, admission is $10, and all proceeds will go to a local children’s charity.
Buckle your seatbelts, on Friday December 10th, Katzulhu Productions will be holding a show at 222 Ormsby in Pittburgh, PA. It will feature bands such as Murder For Girls, The Anti-Corn League, The Richard Move, and Bri Dominique and Company. The shows starts at 8pm, and admission is $10. A variety of bands to go check out if it strikes your fancy.
To end the night, on Friday December 10th, Blacklist Entertainment will holding the December edition of Synthetic at Cattivo in Lawrenceville. There will be a guest DJ known as DJ Impulse joining the fun this time around as they will play a variety of industrial bands. It starts at 10pm, and admission is $5. If you been looking for an industrial night, then this will be the place to be.
Saturday December 11th, Endless Era Promotions will be having a show at Sportsman Cafe in Allentown, PA. It will feature bands such as Planetary Alignment, Bitterroot, DEADSWITCH, Gainer, TheWarWithin, Assault on 5th, and Humanity Decayed. The headbanging starts at 5:30PM, and admission is $10 in advance, $13 the day of show.
Also on Saturday December 11th, Hot Lixx with Lily Sixx is coming back to Sub Alpine for Lily Sixx’s Live Saturday, and this time she is bringing bands such as the return of CRASH ARMY, Altared States, Mojo Prophet, and Brian Genovesi. The show starts at 7pm, and admission is $12.
In addition, Saturday December 11th, metal madness will be coming to Brandy’s Basement in Irwin, PA. The bands playing will be ZAO, Post Mortal Possession, and a rare reunion performance from Direct Action. Saturday December 11th, Some Die Nameless will be hosting a show at Cattivo in Lawrenceville. Lastly, Saturday December 11th, Evolution will be returning to Cattivo in Lawrenceville. It will feature the best in Coldwave, Darkwave, Goth, Industrial, New Wave, Synthpop and more. The dancing starts at 9:30PM, and admission is $5.
