I ventured into a new to me venue again last evening. This time I entered the Radioactive Events Center, LLC in Kittanning, PA to see 4 bands that I’ve never seen before. Tomorrow, When kicked things off with this one man attack of the stage. Surprising me when he pulled out a trumpet to play along to his backing tracks! Up next was another band that I heard for the first time and hopefully not for the last, Royce. They were a mix of soul, hip hop, and rock and all of it was amazing. Up third was the band that had invited me out to do the photo shoot. They were doing their last night on tour with the headliners. Hailing from Michigan, V*A*S*E* is a band worth tracking down for sure. Not only were they a great listen, but they stuck around and provided some fun moshing and antics during the headliners’ set. The final band was Animal Sun, hailing from California. They opened up by saying we know it is late, but please stay for at least one song and give us a chance. I did just that, and enjoyed the set so much that I ended up staying and chatting with their tour management afterwards (Keep an eye on Build the Scene haha)
All-in-all, I had a great night listening to musicians give their all on stage. It wasn’t that long ago that I wasn’t sure if I’d get to do that again. As for Radioactive Events Center, it was their first show in almost 1.5 years due to the pandemic. If you see any shows popup at that venue, you should definitely go check them out.
